Situation

Organization requested an evaluation of current pay ranges based off 90 separate and distinct position titles.  A market adjustment had not happened in recent years and there was concern that difficulties in attracting and retaining personnel was based in large part on unrealistic compensation and benefits offered.   

Result

SeeKing HR evaluated each position using the provided job description.  The evaluation looked at local market wages, the cost of recruiting outside the metropolitan statistical area, economic outlook and specific job growth.  It was determined that many positions were recruited using a rate at the 50th percentile, while others were at or above the 90th percentile. Using the existing organizational hierarchy as a guide, along with economic outlook and job growth rates, SeeKing HR recommended restructuring the compensation plan and realigning the grades to ensure a balanced and equitable plan.
