Construction Firm Seeks Veteran Employees

Construction Firm Seeks Veteran Employees

Project Information

Situation

A national construction firm needed mobile talent and determined that multiple positions within the organization could be filled with individuals from the military community. They had not directly recruited from that talent pool and found it difficult to retain veterans. Seeking to recruit efficiently and effectively while also obtaining federal and state construction projects, the organization sought outside expertise through SeeKing HR.

Result

SeeKing HR created a targeted plan to recruit, hire, and retain professional and trade workers. Typically, employees have an on-boarding process when hired into a new organization; SeeKing HR created an off-boarding program to help transition service members into their new environment. Having firsthand knowledge of the interoffice politics helped immeasurably in identifying potential landmines that would cause a veteran to leave an employer. The client was able to hire and retain a significant number of veterans and improve their mobile talent pool allowing them to further expand operations in new territories.
